A good scent doesn’t have to be expensive…
I initially had a sample set from LPDO, and during the first test, Excentum didn’t stand out to me at all. At some point, I felt like trying the scent again, and it happened on a warm summer evening... The fragrance notes fit perfectly with the moment, and BAM, it caught me off guard.
The beginning is as expected citrusy and spreads a wonderful freshness in the room. The sillage is excellent, as I am approached directly about it. After a short time, the woody notes and amber come more and more to the forefront, reminding me of other significantly more expensive niche fragrances (e.g. “Don’t ask for Permission” by Simone Andreoli - one of my favorite scents). Speaking of price: This creation is available for under 30 euros for 100ml! That’s amazing, and of course, my finger presses “Order” faster than I can think.
Somehow, this scent gives me the impression that “Ambrox” is used in the base. I love that, and it’s a clear “Must have” signal for me. However, it’s not listed in the official fragrance notes.
I also find the bottle very beautiful, but the color of the label irritates me a bit. Somehow it doesn’t match the scent, but of course, that’s just professional fault-finding.
Conclusion:
For spring, summer, and autumn, it’s a scent for little money that can definitely pass as an expensive niche in its DNA. Definitely give it a try if you’re into a bit of ErbaPura and the aforementioned Simone Andreoli.
