Coffee? No! Rose? Yes!
Superbe Café begins fresh - floral, but also slightly sweet - powdery.
Our dear perfumer "Elbchen" gave me the opportunity to test this fragrance with her sample, for which I would like to express my sincere thanks.
First, one can sniff a very lovely, fresh - floral jasmine, which has been used in a way that it does not smell cloying.
There is also a very light sweet - powdery aura perceptible in the background, which I attribute to the iris and which, in my opinion, blends very well with the jasmine.
This constellation can be detected on my skin for 20 minutes before the heart note unfolds.
The heart note becomes pleasantly floral - opulent thanks to the peony. It is also the case that the rose has a nice creamy nuance.
Unfortunately, I could not detect any coffee at all, which I found really unfortunate, as I was very curious about how a rose combined with coffee would smell.
What I can imagine is that the coffee was used merely to give the rose a certain tangible depth, as that is indeed the case here, since one has the impression of having a large rose blossom in front of them.
Superbe Café is for me a quite pleasant rose scent that, in my opinion, can be worn at any time of day or night.
The heart note lasts for 4.5 hours on my skin before the base takes over.
This becomes incredibly thick and creamy, thanks to the interplay of vanilla and amber notes.
It is also the case that the base has a very nice snug depth that invites cuddling.
Far in the background, the white musk acts with its clean and clear nuances, which, in my opinion, is used merely as a pure fixative to further enhance the vanilla and amber notes.
Overall, the fragrance lasts for 9 hours on my skin.
The sillage is designed from the beginning to be perceived very well at arm's length, and this is maintained for 3.5 hours before it gradually diminishes until the scent finally fades away completely.
