A Scurry of Chipmunks
Chipmunk is, IMO, similar to Harvest Mouse, or rather visa versa, in part because, while they do not smell the same, they are both warm, homey, comfortable scents, and in part because I had to name this avatar too. The chipmunk's name is Claire, and she is the leader of a scurry of Chipmunk Scouts in pursuit of their foraging badge.
I like the opening, spicy, fruity and sweet. I love the nutmeg here. There is a rich, quality which stays throughout the life of the fragrance. I found the projection and sillage to be quite strong at the top but becomes much softer in the heart and base.
On me, once the top notes start to fade, which is too quickly for me, the fragrance becomes somewhat, though not entirely, linear, which I didn't mind, as the scent is really beautiful. The hazelnut is blended so well with the woody notes. I just love it.
I like the animalic notes with woods in the base, but the fragrance starts to fade to a skin scent before they really get to stand out on their own. In terms of intensity, projection and sillage, the top performs like an extrait, but the fragrance soon begins to perform more like an EdT. For me, at this price point, that is a problem. Still, this is a beautiful fragrance, warm and cozy, perfectly unisex and appropriate for many different occasions in cooler weather.
