Tender rose disguised as a beautiful poppy

Kenzo's advertising people call this "a featherlight poppy", I'd call it a featherlight rose mixed with a bit of magnolia (can't smell any gardenia) on a base of white musk which brings the flowers into light. A touching infusion as luminous as a morning in early summer. Neither cloying nor heady. Stays with me for up to three hours, doesn't grab the limelight but is subtle and discreet.

Gentle Breeze

I find the name Flower in the Air very fitting, as the blossoms appear to me like a gentle breeze on one hand.
On the other hand, the scent lasts quite well.

Yesterday afternoon, due to a campaign at the department store, I sprayed a fabric poppy flower (including a sample) with FitA, received as a gift after shopping, and I still noticed the scent in the living room late in the evening. I held my nose to the fabric poppy and was surprised.

I’ll say it a bit snobbishly after my two years at parfumo that I can smell more than just roses.
The scent is sweet but not sticky. Rose and gardenia are in the foreground, but a pinch of pepper also falls from the sky. The musk, being heavier, was released a bit later and adds creamy-powdery nuances.
I call that pleasant and it fits into the now fresher season.
A nice mainstream fragrance (not for me), but I find it too expensive at €84 - €100 (100 ml). But that is relative when it comes to scents that are enjoyable.

Flowers are in the Air

To put it simply, this new "Flowers" flanker has nothing in common with the original except for the fact that it is a floral scent.

More precisely, it is a fruity-floral scent, as the sweetness of raspberry runs through the entire (short) scent progression. At first, it is a bit more intense, until the flowers quickly join in, with rose leading the way. The other two soften the influence of the rose. I perceive light aquatic nuances, which I attribute to the gardenia.
Very understated, very subtle overall.

White musk is listed here as the base note, and I smell a slightly woody powderiness.

"Flower in the Air" is fruity-floral-aquatic-powdery-woody, and thus very pleasing. Clean scent lovers might also like it; in my opinion, it already evokes a "freshly showered" feeling.

The longevity is above average, which is not bad for such a delicate scent.
Definitely suitable for summer, I prefer the fruity sweetness on cooler days.

In February/March and in November, the birthdays of my loved ones pile up.

Maybe the astrologers are right that certain signs like to come together?
There might be something to it.
In any case, during these times, I dive into my wallet and buy gifts - of course, preferably in perfumeries.

I enjoy doing this, of course.
I can also treat myself, as I fall into the birthday boom as well.
One should surprise oneself too.

That's when the pretty little bottle with the red flower on top came in handy.
Flower in the Air.
I know Flower - but In the Air conveys a completely different impression.
It is brighter, lighter, cheerier.

The delicious raspberry immediately seduces me, garnished with a pinch of pepper.
Refined.
Then I am enveloped by velvety rose, delicate magnolia, and elegant Mediterranean gardenia so floral and airy that I have to hum the hit by Paul Young:

Love is in the air
everywhere I look around
Love is in the air
every sight and every sound
And I don’t know if I’m being foolish
Don’t know if I’m being wise
But there it’s something that I must believe in
and it’s there when I look in your eyes

As buoyant as the song is, so is the fragrance.

It has something weightless, optimistic, that tears open the dark, rain-laden sky.

Humming the little song, I cheerfully navigate through wet streets in heavy traffic, wondering whom I will delight with the beautiful scent.

Beautiful, unobtrusive spring/summer scent

One could say that "Flower in the Air" was waiting for me, in the form of a gift set with a 100ml bottle, a 15ml travel spray, and a 50ml body lotion. This had been sitting unnoticed in the back corner of our TK Maxx for some time and was gradually reduced further and further. At €25, I finally decided to buy it and am quite satisfied. "Flower in the Air" is a good perfume for spring and summer, with a sillage and longevity that are rather average, so even with frequent reapplication, you won't find yourself bothering others with it (essentially the opposite of "Alien," "Black Opium," and "La Vie est belle"). Less optimistically, one could say: The scent doesn't last from twelve to noon.

Contrary to the classification here, I perceive the perfume as distinctly spicy, as the pepper tickles my nose and some component (unfortunately, my nose isn't as trained as most others here) brings a sour note into play. This adds a certain freshness and lightness to the scent.

The bottle is very beautiful, capturing the scent quite well: A floating poppy flower for an ethereal-light fragrance. Unfortunately, the bottle is a bit unwieldy due to its flat shape, and you should always hold it from the bottom to avoid accidentally dropping it.
