Contemplative Mukhallat
Attainment II is a solemn, resinous oud framed by faint traces of rose at its edges. The sweetness of the floral note and the rough, splintered texture of oud are both subdued, replaced by the impression of dark resins wrapped in shadowed rose petals—deep, composed, and measured.
Opening with rose, saffron, and civet, the rose here carries no overt sweetness, only a petal-like crimson hue. Saffron weaves into the floral note, joined by the animalic warmth of civet, forming a dignified, spicy-animalic floral tone that lingers throughout as the scent’s background.
As the composition develops, resinous oud moves to the forefront. Here, the oud’s usual jagged, splintery texture is smoothed and filled by dense resins, transforming it into something rounded and seamless—like a solid, sculpted block of aromatic wood-resin. A faint tang in the oud lends a subtle cheese-like nuance, thick and enveloping, though no clear vanilla or castoreum is detected.
All the while, saffron and rose remain softly in the background, their voices muted beneath the weight of resinous oud, while musk and animalic traces drift in the air. Attainment II is, at its heart, a serious and contemplative Mukhallat.
