I had read carefully on the net that ANN DEMEULEMEESTER had taken a creative break after selling her label. But she hasn't been that inactive in the meantime. At Serax, she has skillfully translated her minimalism into porcelain and other interior design objects and the color black dominates. Now Ann has presented her first perfume and my curiosity was piqued.
I ordered the fragrance, only available online on the DEMEULEMEESTER website or via Antonioli.
Yesterday was the day. Arrived
The bottle is very purist/minimalist, as you would expect from their fashion. The front is high-gloss black with the ANN DEMEULEMEESTER lettering; if you turn the bottle, the A appears on the back - a very cool design. A statement!
Lid on and the first spray
OMG
Bouquet of flowers with cinnamon and cloves, ok let's wait and see what happens. After a while, the leather comes through with the woody notes. But it remains feminine, I see/smell the perfume more on a self-confident woman.
It doesn't catch me, unfortunately ANN doesn't manage to convince me that this is a fragrance for me. That's why thank you and goodbye.
