The Signature Scent of the Wandering Spider
About this time last year, my child and I hurried to the Tropical Institute in Hamburg, which was open for the "Night of Knowledge." A small detour via L'Occitane, where we prepared ourselves with a golden floral scent, then it was off to learn about leishmaniasis, Ebola, malaria, and various other pathogens and diseases. It was very interesting; we could look through the microscope, lectures were held, and mosquitoes flew around under a net.
Amidst all this, a yellow mimosa cloud hovered above us, sweet like pollen, clean and radiant. The scent does not undergo much development, which cannot be said for the beef tapeworm. Such a preserved specimen particularly fascinated my daughter, and of course, the wandering spider, which we had already gotten to know at the Zoological Museum.
Afterwards, we took another detour via L'Occitane; the perfume had proven to be suitable for tropical conditions and was purchased.
I really like sweet yellow floral scents; I associate them with yellow dandelion noses, linden blossoms, bees, bumblebees, and hoverflies - and wandering spiders. It was a really nice evening at the Tropical Institute, which amusingly is inextricably linked to the scent of the golden flower.
Addendum: Unlike tropical pathogens, parasites, and diseases, ticks, fleas, lice, and larger hairy spiders in the basement are relatively harmless contemporaries.
