Where have they all gone????
... that they take flight from this scent? I just can't understand it.
Maybe the name is a bit misleading. Charm Rose Intense is not exactly a gentle breeze, but it's not intensely so either. However, it's more advisable to reapply than to spray heavily, because the opening comes off a bit too powdery and artificial. With 2 sprays, though, it's pleasantly soft, yet still quite noticeable.
From the very beginning, I smell a dark and lush rose. Perhaps that's why "Intense." Even though the scent isn't as strong in sillage as one might expect, the rose is full-bodied. And I like that extraordinarily well. Of course, it smells more like rose soap than real rose petals, but don't tell me that surprises you at this price.
The fruits hide quite well for me; only a hint of mandarin adds a touch of freshness to the opening. And then the rose has its solo for hours.
The synthetic note that many talk about could possibly come from the coconut milk. I only perceive it in the base, but it has a subtle plastic smell that clashes with the dark rose. And the whole thing becomes a bit sweeter than necessary. However, this only happens if you haven't adhered to the "just 2 sprays" rule. Also in the base, I finally detect ylang, wood, and amber (not a little). And as the scent fades, there's also a hint of vanilla. Always with the majestic rose above.
In the base, you can tell that the scent is probably not a €300 niche composition. But don't get me wrong. Even if it doesn't smell expensive or the amber has that drugstore scent note, there's nothing bad about it. My overall impression is "Wow, what a beautiful rose scent!" And in this price range, you don't have to smell like an Amouage.
For me, Charm Rose Intense is a spring and autumn scent. Especially in the morning when it's cool, I find it very cozy. However, it is probably too delicate for winter.
I recommend it to everyone who likes rose scents but isn't afraid of drugstore products. :)
