Chanel's perennial?!
It surprised me that "Coco Mademoiselle" as EdP has some critics, because the smell of it is just uncanny... positive and accessible. Almost everyday and... nice. You wouldn't expect any criticism. And maybe that's just the catch?!

This Mademoiselle by Chanel is very easy to wear, is basically "only" a slightly uplifted orange (flower) scent on a fluffy patchouli bed. That may be a bit too normal for some, others already too pompous with the delicate white flowers - but basically it is damn tame and well-behaved. A cheerful, maybe even a little naive woman, still quite young. But by no means a child anymore. In her high 20s, maybe. "CM EdP" is one of those fragrances that my girlfriend uses when she doesn't know what's coming or what the day will bring. A signature scent before the mistress. Totally Chanel, but also completely casual. Not immature, not old-fashioned, not pale, not strong, not this, not that. Decisions and opinions and character are always welcome - but sometimes it must be such a mix. Creamy. Well-behaved. A bit boring, maybe. Unsexy? The savings book among the Chanels. In the classic sense.

Flacon: as always with Chanel and especially this series - exquisite!
Sillage: total average
Durability: solid custom work - 8 hours

Conclusion: the mademoiselle who has no day, no event, no challenge not good for a pretty face. More than just nice. Rather simply beautiful and light. Not a masterpiece - but for me a bank.

Never say never!
Somehow the Chanels were always too "ladylike", "hard", "heavy" or "stale" for me.
The first one that actually moved in was Chance Eau Tendre Eau de Toilette. The was fresh, cheerful and not comparable to, for example, "N°5 (perfume) | Chanel". I always smell the great, famous classics of Chanel. But none can convince me. At some point I have then also resisted at all still Chanels to test...
Until I once received a manufacturer sample of Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum.

The first Aufsprühen was afflicted with zero expectation.
I smelled first a certain note that reminded me very much of my acetone free nail polish remover. "Whew, what is that!" was my first thought. I then disappointedly put the sample in the box for the samples that may move on.

10 min later, however, the Mademoiselle smelled fantastic. Cheerful, delicate yet present, light, upbeat and girly.

The fruity opening reminds me, as I said, of nail polish remover, that may be the tangerine or orange in combination with bergamot and the alcohol. Who knows. Then follows the light floral agent, which lasts very very long with me.
Jasmine I smell light and very pleasant,
Mimosa is barely noticeable for me,
Rose I take then but increasingly perceived
and Ylang-Ylang most.
All flowers harmonize super with the still light, fruity top note, which remains with me also really noticeable for several hours.
The base creeps in more, I smell every now and then a nice, light vanilla, very delicately and only inconspicuously a bit of patchouli and the rest of the base is not present.
On the whole, the ingredients enter into a symbiosis with my skin and form an overall picture what makes me rave. It is a really beautiful fragrance.
Ok, the Mademoiselle Coco is very mainstream, but no matter.
So now yet another Chanel fragrance has moved in.

Edit: July 2023 - unfortunately, it did not remain so. The nail polish remover note has it me then but verleidet... he has long since moved out again and will never move in again...

Don't understand all the hype...
I can imagine very well right now that many will hate me for, this text or even worse something else... Since I'm 90% sure that many of you love this fragrance. Nevertheless I have to get rid of my opinion about this fragrance somehow:))) And on Parfumo you are just right when it comes to perfume;))) + the opinion about the fragrance itself. I admit that I was really looking forward to testing Chanel fragrances, as it is very hard to find Chanel in a perfumery itself except of course in Douglas. And since I have to admit that I don't feel like taking the train for a long time just to find a Douglas in Switzerland (especially near me) I ordered samples of some well-known Chanel fragrances. I was looking forward to Coco Mademoiselle most of all because this fragrance has been so hyped lately as well as by (almost) every perfume/scent Youtuber. I must confess unfortunately that this smell has hit me everything but from the stool!

Let's get to the fragrance description itself: I sprayed it on my wrist first of all because I was most interested in the development and course on my skin itself than on a test strip. I sprayed it on my wrist and gave the fragrance 2min. so it could develop, I was mega excited because I was not yet sure if I will like it exactly. When I smelled carefully on my wrist I noticed a very aggressive citric note which unfortunately remained the same over the whole course of the scent...:( A few minutes later also flowery notes came into play which unfortunately did not make the scent any softer or fresher let alone better, my wrist smelled very strongly of disinfectants which I don't like at all! ( I don't know if it was the citric note or the flowery one. I also don't want to mock this scent or to present it badly or badly, because it can be that it does very well with others and smells differently and with me just well... with me on the skin the H+S was very weak as I think! That was about 5.hours depending on the dosage, especially because the Chanel fragrances are also mega expensive. I couldn't smell anything but citric and floral notes, because the notes stood out the most and the strongest... I also tested this fragrance on my mother to see if I was the only one who perceived this perfume so badly. I couldn't see a single wow effect on her either. The only thing I heard from her was what it was because it smelled like cleaning fluid on her skin. To be honest I'm slightly relieved that I wasn't the only one with a funny or bad nose. As already said it can be that it smells with you elsewhere or even great but I personally am of Chanel fragrances no fan at all...:(

Coco Mademoiselle: My Chanel No.1
Derived from the original of 1941, this fragrance is so far my personal place 1 of the house of Chanel. Already in December 2013 with youthful 19 years I treated myself for the first time the purchase of this fragrance in the 50 ml bottle and knew then already, this love would last forever...

In general, I was then - and I still am now - a big fan of 50 ml bottles, as I think they are the perfect size. The bottles do well when they present themselves uniformly as a family next to each other at home on the shelf, but they are also not too big to let them disappear unceremoniously in the handbag to "freshen up" again throughout the day. In addition, I've often noticed that the 75 or 100 ml bottles of certain fragrances just don't look nice and disharmonious due to their clunkiness and often changed shape (best example Shiseido Zen: in 50 ml still a compact cube, in 100 ml a bulky cuboid - not nice!). So, small excursion to flacon sizes is finished with it...

Back to Coco Mademoiselle: Clearly, it was instant love. The light, sweet scent that lays on the skin like a fine silk scarf and from which a unique class emanates. And this at least as pretty, delicate, transparent glass bottle, through which you can look at the pink wonder water; with the glass stopper and the radiant gold rim, which makes the bottle just all the more a wonderful eye-catcher.
To sum up: The fragrance, the name, the pink liquid, the bottle. It is the absolution of perfection and I can't blame any woman who makes this yet extremely common fragrance her number 1. Between us, we all know that we prefer to have our fragrances exclusively for us and therefore would rather give way to one or the other niche fragrance when it comes to increasing our personal collection. But no shame! I will never get tired of this fragrance and even though it has unfortunately become a mainstream fragrance despite its premium quality - watch out for the bad M-word - I still feel special every time I wear this fragrance and am grateful that I have had it by my side for so many years

Chanel Must-Have
My first Chanel fragrance was this one. He will always remain in my memory. When I was looking for a job after my training as a paralegal, I somehow ended up in a perfumery online shop, where I now work since 2016. I had no idea about perfume at all. And I'm glad I ended up where I am now. But what does this have to do with fragrance? Quite simply my boss gave me this very fragrance after my probation period and as a welcome gift. And that's it, this scent always reminds me of my happy start at work!

But now about the scent. It's very floral but doesn't pop in, it's light and can be worn everyday. I wear it a lot as it is one of my absolute favorites. My friends and family love him just as much, so much so that they always "mop" me times a spray :)

It suits both warm and cold days. I spray me even once like my scarves and scarves with it, because he has an incredible durability us sillage.

I love the opening of this: a sparkling orange-floral-patchouli. I find it fades quite quickly but it's pretty while it lasts!
