Aventus in a Down Coat
I became aware of this perfume through the WhatsApp consultation from Vicioso.
I wanted a versatile and pleasing scent that everyone would actually like… And that’s exactly what it is!
The fragrance makes one thing clear across its entire spectrum: Yes, the minds behind it thought Aventus was pretty good.
However, it is not a dupe and also not on the same level as all the homage scents from the Arab world.
The scent opens up and smells for the first few seconds almost 1:1 like Aventus Absolu.
While Aventus more or less sticks to its style until the end, this fragrance is a bit tamer and more pleasing. It has no sharp edges, the pineapple is not biting, and the smoke is hardly a notable theme. Instead, we have a distinctly rounder and lighter progression.
For everyone who enjoys the versatility and freshness of the original Aventus but prefers the creaminess and balance of the Absolu.
All in all, a really good and solid fragrance. The longevity is absolutely within range, the prices are competitive, and the sillage is even quite decent. The scent has already garnered me many compliments since day one and should particularly appeal to those who are not perfume fanatics.
All in all, this has all been done before, but rarely so well and affordably executed.
A big shoutout goes to the spray head. There are fragrances produced in millions that cost 3 times the price of Vicioso, which cannot even come close to this. The entire package is minimalist yet high-quality.
This will surely not be the last fragrance from this brand in my collection.
