Spicy bourbon fragrance
A colleague of mine learned of my passion for fragrance and decided to gift me a few of her perfumes she had at home. I was really excited to find out if her tastes were similar to mine. This is one of her gifts!
As soon as I dabbed it on my skin (I have a small sampler with a dabber), I could smell the mix of black pepper (which was very prominent) and a zingy tart background citrus. There was also this dark, fruity and sweet prune shining softly in the background. As the perfume moved on, I could smell the bourbon coming through, giving everything a much more grounded and woody aspect. I could smell the cedarwood also balancing everything out. I don't drink alcohol so I'm not familiar with those type of scents, but it reminded me a bit of Kilian's Angel Share (that I have tried out). The pepper did end up receding in favor of a nice soft woody accord. It ends up being a gentle fragrance with not much longevity or sillage, but it ended up being a pleasant surprise I tried out. It won't be added to my collection as I'm not someone who enjoys wearing alcholic drink scented perfumes, but I was glad I could try it.
