Hello Darkness Blackcliff 2023

Based on the opening of this fragrance, I thought I'd made a very bad mistake, but it dries down beautifully. The opening is salty ocean air, pine resins, soft lavender, and honey. However, it was the honey that had me ready to scrub, as it's the version that smells like saliva, and, for a while, the air around me was permeated with the saliva smell. However, within 10-15 minutes, that saliva note had gone away, leaving a beautiful scent that reminded me of the smell of driving down Hwy 98 in Santa Rosa, Florida, on the Gulf coast toward the beaches in Destin. Those pines are pretty prominent, but you also smell the scrub with pine forest, and sometimes a slight hint of smoke. The salt air is really only in the opening for me. It's really nice, extremely unisex, and definitely experiential.
