A "Powerhouse" from the USA...
....Hardly anyone has it, almost no one knows it, it comes from far away over the big pond, bursting with strength and radiance. Moreover, it has absolutely nothing to do with Elizabeth Taylor, even though it carries "Sparkling Stars" in its name and would surely have been praised by this film diva. No, this is not a Taylor fragrance, but a "Lovance".
Where is it from? Of course, from the USA, but I got it through one of my fragrance swaps. Since my swap partner no longer has it, I am alone in the Parfumo community, unless it is hiding in someone's collection, unpublished. Well, it doesn't deserve that, as it can definitely hold its own against many niche fragrances.
As soon as it is sprayed, it really takes off. There is a woody aroma of everything that has rank and name in the Rocky Mountains or another mountain range. There are cedars, pines, Hinoki wood, and probably a type of sandalwood that appears quite sweet-woody and almost creamy. Vanilla is very clearly detectable (for my nose almost too much, but that's due to my "elevated" fragrance taste), as well as full-bodied amber notes, patchouli, and probably also moss. A warm "orangey" note also flashes through from time to time.
In terms of longevity and projection, these are well above average! It really depends on careful dosing when applying. You find that out quite quickly.
Then one has a high-quality and expensive-looking and almost noble "big fragrance appearance" that will surely attract some compliments from others! :-))
