Fox Green Pepper in the Tropics - It Could Have Been You
Starts off sharply peppery, it's uncomfortable for me with my nose directly on the skin, even though I am a big lover of the queen of spices. Luckily, this doesn't last too long. After about 15 minutes, the sharpness subsides and the fragrance develops into a floral-spicy symphony. The pepper is still there, but in a subtle way that harmonizes wonderfully with the floral notes, which now have a chance to emerge. An upright and independent scent, pleasant and not too intrusive. If it started and remained like this, it would be one of my favorite fragrances. However, after 2-3 hours, the pepper and the floral notes have completely vanished, and what remains close to the skin is the sweetness of tonka and a hint of grass.
I am somewhat torn - in the middle, it is a brilliant scent with signature quality, but it has a troublesome opening and a relatively weak finish. So it will remain a sample tasting, the price is a bit too high.
The longevity is slightly below average, but it is still perceptible close to the skin for a long time. Sillage, according to my partner, is not very strong.
One more note about the name - Swiss perfume manufacturers (especially from the German-speaking part) generally struggle a bit with naming, it always comes across as somewhat casual, clumsy, uninspired, and not well thought out. Often, there are too direct connotations to mountains/mountain flowers, etc., that have nothing to do with the content, and here it is an animal, more specifically its fur color. However, this fragrance has nothing playful, animalistic, or "red" about it; it is thoroughly composed and "green." If one must compare it to an animal (for whatever reason), it would be more like an inconspicuous, leisurely bear. I am sure this fragrance would have more success with a more fitting presentation.
