Miel d´Oranger does what it says in the bottle: just honey.
It is really very simple. The opening is quite lovely, dewy orange blossom , orange and honey...it smells fresh, not too sweet or cloying. It is a very flowery honey note, sadly lacking of intensity or projection, like dilluted honey. The drydown is honey and vanilla, and maybe some nutmeg if you look for it. Thanks god the vanilla is hardly noticeable, because it normally ruins honey for me.
It smells natural, but is so soft and unidimensional that i mostly use it as a body splash. Indeed, it is a great base for the enchanting Fleurs de Citronnier by Serge Lutens, since they seem to share both notes and spirit.
I paticularly enjoyed the bath line of Miel d´Oranger: the texture was thick like real honey and deeply scented. Yves Rocher does just so-so fragances, but the shower gels are remarkable: wonderful scents, last forever in the skin and very affordable (like the last Ylang-ylang shower i bought was 1´50 €)
