Animalic stank

I don't think I fully understood what I was getting into here! This is not a clean girl musk, a skin scent, or even a subtle animalic musk. This is pure civet, animalic stank. There's some earthiness, a hint of sweetness, and a bit of powder and smoke from the other notes, but civet is the star. Too much for me and not what I would call wearable.

Dirty People at a Dirty Ren Faire

The perfumer made this fragrance in honor of Ren Faires. I've only been to one Ren Faire but I can agree that this fragrance does capture the dirty and animalic scents that permeate the fair. Its the sweet and earthy hay that clings to your boots, watching knights joust on their horses, and everyone wearing patchouli oil. There is a dark sticky resin underneath it all that kinda drags this fragrance down and I can only pick up on the tiniest hints of rose. But I also tend to read rose notes as sour, so maybe that's the "resin" I'm smelling. This fragrance is fairly linear and honestly I think its a less interesting version of their Brushfire fragrance.

This fragrance has some lift off the skin, but mainly its a strong skin scent. This also lasted about 7 hours on my skin. There are a couple of options for sizes and pricing starting at 5ml rollerball for $22, 10ml EDP atomizer for $30, and 30ml EDP atomizer for $65.
