the treasure of the south
Il Tesoro = The treasure!
Here, this treasure of the south is not the delicious olive oil, but the D:SOL MMXVI brand, with the eau de parfum of the same name, takes us right into the heart of the magnificent citrus fruit plantations, into the gardens of the Hesperides, who still seem to watch over their magnificent treasures.
For we now know that the legendary tree with the "golden apples of the Hesperides", which four goddesses gave to Heracles, was not an apple tree at all, but an orange tree with ripe, round golden fruit.
Even then, people were comparing something familiar (the apple) with the unknown (the orange) and there were already "golden apples" in the gardens of the Hesperides.
"Tesoro" is a fragrance reminiscence of a special time of the year, the time of magnificent ripe fruit that hangs from the trees like fragrant gems and at which every harvest, despite the plagues, becomes a celebration of joy, friends and the senses.
Here we find the sparkling, lively, slightly bitter freshness of the aromas of bergamot, grapefruit and bitter orange/ bitter orange with their very special fragrance, called petitgrain.
For me, it's always called "the oil of the sliced twigs, leaves and unripe green fruits of bitter orange" and I really like it. After all, it adds a certain something to the composition of summer fragrances.
What a wonderful, unusual opening develops here: Nothing with a biting lemon freshness, but a pleasantly fresh bitter accent.
I'm not the only one who keeps asking myself whether pink pepper is absolutely necessary, but jasmine is an absolute "must" in this fragrance treasure: jasmine in large, white-flowering, fragrant umbels in various degrees of flower ripeness - what an excitingly sensual pleasure!
"Tesoro": So far, a fragrant bath in jasmine petals and a large glass of tingling sun-soaked aromas - well, isn't that tempting?
The tingling, enticing quality of this interesting creation increases as a finely balanced aromatic leather nuance develops on the skin, openly admitting its affection for vetiver and white musk; perfumed leather can be a fine thing.
For me, the full blossoming of this fragrance experience takes a little longer, as we all know, but eventually this unusual pleasure of the summery south is revealed to me too.
A circle of ingeniously arranged fragrance notes from stimulating lightness to soft, cuddly leather sensuality is completed here.
"Tesoro" is pleasantly rich and surprisingly long-lasting; the difference between an eau de cologne and an eau de parfum is clear.
With this one, the sun simply shines longer on the skin.
