I'll start off by saying I'm not someone who enjoys coffee as a drink or as flavour (ex. paired with chocolate). I do appreciate the scent of coffee when I enter a coffee shop, but it's not on my list of drinks I usually take. That's the main reason why I held off from trying out this fragrance sooner as I thought I wouldn't enjoy it (and I will admit I don't have much experience with coffee perfumes). To say I was blown away is an understatement.
I'd definitely wear this fragrance during fall or during winter. It's a very deep, dark, gourmand coffee scent that warming and comforting all at the same time. It has a creamy, latte kind of side, but it also has a beautiful, dark, roasted, and earthy scent like freshly grinded luxurious coffee beans. Very complex and very well executed. Can't say I can pick out the notes individually or even all of them, but I did sense the coffee, the spices, the (burnt) caramel and the brown sugar accord that turned this scent in a beautiful one. Drydown is a bit more mundane as it sweetens out into a powdery, woody kind of drydown where tonka is the most recognizable note.
It's a sad thing to see they don't ship to Canada as I might have gone for a travel size. Like I said, I'm not a coffee girl, so going for a full bottle would be stupid, but I would've like having a travel size to spritz it on during the heart of fall season. A very beautiful scent for people who love dark gourmands and coffee!
