Nuanced spicy coffee scent, quite unique

My second sampling of Day Three Fragrances is La Tacita de Café, an Art + Olfaction Award winner from 2023. It’s a spicy, sugary, hearty blend that, to me, smells mostly like a mix of coffee, caramel, rum, and a bit of tobacco, though tobacco is not part of the note lists. It’s idiosyncratic, multifaceted blend that defies a simple summary, though, with an interesting blend of spices that play against the sweeter gourmand elements. It’s sharp and heady, also, not wading into the sumptuous, overly sweet gourmand territory, but rather something more nuanced and blended, with a lot of density but some bright, uplifting citric aspects, also. It really has a lot going on and, at least for me, requires some thorough examination.

La Tacita de Café is extrait concentration and is priced at $225/130/35 for 100/50/10ml, sold through the house website, and it performs well. Overall, I quite like it, but just not as much as Ambar Dominicano, though I’m looking forward to try the rest of the line as well.

My Forever Coffee Fragrance!

Tried this coffee forward fragrance as soon as it released since I had already had such an amazing experience with Del Mar by Day Three Fragrances! Had full Faith in this release and sure enough, it's captivating. This is the most beautifully blended coffee forward niche quality fragrance while feeling as easy breezy as an everyday Signature type scent! I can firmly say I'm no longer looking for a coffee scent for my collection as I've found everything I'll ever need from La Tacita de Cafe! Strength, Sillage and longevity are all amazing. Smells sweet, yet balanced by the coffee and that wonderful toka sandalwood base.It feels so strong yet so light at the same time, it's a true masterpiece of a Fragrance, I absolutely adore it! They have sample packs available, I have 5 of their releases so far and Love them all.

This is one of the best new releases and it is from my favorite indie brand!
It is a dna that I’ve never smelled before this. The coffee note is a smooth and slightly boozy one. The notes are so well blended together that is hard to pinpoint what is what. The perfume is very well balanced, sweet and mildly spicy, on a base of coffee and booze.
Amazing!!!
