The impossibile flower
Ahhh this is a classy and unconventional fragrance! Difficult to classify in my opinion: floral? Fruity? Gourmand? It just stands in the middle. Denise decided to celebrate osmanthus, using a top quality absolute that smells just like apricot skin, wax and wood. The opening is definitely pure osmanthus: the smell of orange light. The leathery undertone is toned down and, as the perfume starts to evolve, the fruity note embraces vanilla absolute: don't even expect a super gourmand vanilla, because this is an elegant one. I'm talking about REAL VANILLA, which is deeper than the edible one and has an ambery-woody twist.
I am not a fruity fan but I got fascinated by the strange perfume of osmanthus, which can be both smooth and brave, sweet and mature. Love Vanicocca.
Ps: for those who wonder what "Vanicocca" means: this word has been invented by Dede herself as a result of an union between "vanilla" and "albicocca" (apricot) ;)
