Crystallized Bananas Fresh from the Blender Straight into the Wooden Cup and Out of My Collection
This was supposed to be a special little addition to my collection, snagged on eBay for almost 70 euros, discontinued... that's just how it is.
Oh my God, I was hyped. In my head, various fantasy scents were already joyfully buzzing around, which I derived from the fragrance notes of the perfume community...
Upon unboxing, it immediately rushed out of the packaging, barely had the flap of the box opened.
Unfazed, I pulled back my jacket sleeve and gave a hearty spray on my wrist.
What was left was a drop of deep dark brown color, absolutely capable of staining clothes... so be careful!
Thank goodness I had taken the effort to protect the sleeve. While it left no stains, it still smelled for DAYS of this perfume, which exhibits absolute extrait quality.
The next thing I registered was an incredibly brutally radiating, and completely overpowering scent of overripe, almost crystallized bananas. A cocktail of
brown bananas from the blender mixed with cola and garnished with a South Sea-like flower. (Tiare? Not listed, but I smell it...) Very heavy... room-filling... merciless.
It's absolutely difficult to describe this scent, let alone to keep it on until the end or identify the right occasion to wear it... I washed it off after 3 hours, as it really brought me to the brink of despair.
I truly love gourmands, I just didn't expect one here.
I was expecting a woody, oriental scent with a floral twist.
What I got was that diffuse cocktail atom bomb...
In terms of occasions and likability, it is completely unwearable for me. The day will come when we part ways. Under what circumstances that will happen, I do not yet know. Just that it will be so. Really a shame. The first Lush scent where I have capitulated and was left brokenhearted. After all, I had long ago had "Lush" engraved on the surface of my proverbial heart...
