Unusual citric with a lot of progression
One spray... and I'm surrounded by juicy lemon and orange, as well as bergamot, and they exude their refreshing scent, garnished with a few mint leaves and a bit of synthetics, which is not distracting.
Green petitgrain notes create the transition to the herbaceous-green (almost spicy) neroli and rosemary mix, which is still clearly accompanied by the citrus notes.
Somewhere in between, I keep imagining aniseed vibes to it... (which I really like - at least I have positive olfactory hallucinations... )
If anyone has an explanation for this - please let me know!
This herbaceous-spicy citric is extremely appealing to my limbic system and I'm already thinking about adding the fragrance to my wish list...
But after about 2-3 hours I can (unfortunately) remove it from my wish list - it becomes quite synthetic for my nose and the - still present! - Citric now turns (for me) into lemon cleaner.
It's not a very strong synthetic, but it's just too much for me.
But suddenly - after about 8-9 hours - soft, fresh and with an admittedly somehow artificial citric that even I like despite its artificiality... wow!
Huhhh, difficult... - in the first 2-3 hours I found the fragrance soooo beautiful - then I personally can't cope with it anymore and in the late base it becomes sooooo beautiful again....
I have a relatively poor fragrance memory, which (unfortunately?) also means that I have hardly any memories associated with fragrances. And so it is usually difficult for fragrances to take me on a "journey" or transport me mentally to other places.
Lieven has therefore not been able to achieve his goal of reflecting certain moments and awakening memories with this fragrance, but he has created a fragrance with an interesting progression that - for me - is unparalleled. Whether or not there are any disruptive notes for me personally in the progression.
This unusual citrus with greenery and herbs is not run-of-the-mill, but - to my nose - really something special! And even in the base - I've never really experienced anything like it myself! - this still green-citric freshness - THAT is something I really like - double WOW!!!
Hach, without the synthetics in between for my stupid nose, the fragrance would have a 9-10 from me in the citric range and would immediately end up on my wish list, but unfortunately I (or my fragrance receptors) are very difficult when even a hint of synthetics comes up... - which I unfortunately don't like in the (long) middle section.
But in any case, a clear recommendation for all those who are looking for a citrus-green 'different' fragrance and can also cope with a slight synthetic!
Lasts at least 12 hours for me!
