The Great Comparison
Erba Pura? Kirke?
I was able to test the Celui and immediately knew what it was "supposed to be."
My opinion on the scent is independent of who released it, although that might play a small role later on.
The Celui by Elevate is said to be an Erba Pura/Kirke clone, which in my opinion smells more identical to Kirke than to Erba Pura. I even have to say that the Celui does not smell anything like the Xerjoff. The scent DNA is somewhat similar, but the Xerjoff smells completely different.
The scent:
The Celui comes across as much more synthetic and does not last as long as its big counterpart from Terenzi. For me, the Celui smells far too penetratingly synthetic when compared to its "two" companions. Someone here has already written that the Celui has a kind of fabric softener note, which I can agree with. For me, this "fabric softener note" even smells more like a fruity shower gel.
In my opinion, the scent unfortunately does not come close to the original or the two originals. Also, regarding the price...
Price:
50ml of Celui costs €75, for 100ml it would be €150.
100ml of Kirke costs about €100, and 100ml of Erba Pura can sometimes be found for around €175.
The price of the Celui is set quite high, which is partly due to the fanbase of the creators. The buyers are mostly quite young and do not have much to do with perfume.
99% of Parfumo users would give the Celui a 1/10 in terms of price-performance ratio. I count myself among that 99%.
Conclusion:
Not a particularly impressive release, unfortunately also far too expensive compared to cheaper/equally priced rivals from well-known niche houses.
If you want something even cheaper, get the Lattafa Confidential Gold, which is a very well-made Kirke clone for €20.
