I have to confess I fell in the trap too; the whole thing I was able to detect was fennel. I was seriously considering to rise up the White flag.
But you know; Could you ever give up like this, without giving yourself the opportunity to have another chat to fully understand?

Luckily things starded going well appointment by appointment, being
able to discover new pieces of her everytime; once the star anise, labdanum the other One, turmenic and going forward til the last time, when I discovered her beautiful Woody base, never oppressive, slightly sophisticate, that could actually make you think to a Japanese Kodo cerenony, as stated by the house.

With all the Pieces of the puzzle, all I can say, hoping my metaphors weren't forced, Is that we have there and Amazing fragrance, spicey Just right at the start, with a Little sweetey contour, maybe given by a punch of labdanum (my personal opinion) and a soft woodyness in the background due to the oud, remaining that way throughout the drydown.
