Ghazali Kashmiri
A musk haven that layers a lush bouquet of roses with the creamy warmth of red sandalwood. Slight Gourmet accents of black truffle and carob deepen the scent, while Tibetan, Himalayan, and Kashmiri musks adds a beautiful powdery drydown. This perfume is possibly one of my favorite Kashmiri musk perfumes of All Time.

A bee, a rose seller and a bag of rice meet....
..... would be a great introduction for a real thigh-slapper! But since I can't think of one now, I hope it was at least enough to get your attention?
If so, I'm delighted. So let's do as usual, sit down, make yourselves comfortable and listen to my words.

So, what do we have here? A still young Artisan brand, an apparently colorful mix of ingredients and me, who is now tempted to write down his impressions here. so without further ado, let's spray this thing on.

What immediately jumps out at you is a good portion of musk from all over the world. Not quite along the lines of "in your face" or "kicks you in the back of the knee and robs you of your wallet as soon as you're down", but still quite noticeable and quite densely interwoven.
The whole package then gradually gives way to roses and florals. However, the roses are slightly darker overall than in Ghazali Hindi, for example, which I personally found to be somewhat lighter and "squeakier". Speaking of Ghazali Hindi . A small comparison can also be made here, as Kashmiri works in almost exactly the opposite way. In Hindi, the roses were in the foreground and Musk was more of a "supporting character", whereas here I personally feel the opposite.

Doesn't sound so wrong at first, I like that sort of thing, it suits me. But as we all know, there are always two sides to a coin. After this musk-floral-rose melee, the fragrance unfortunately starts to get a bit too eggy. While the sillage/projection was still quite good at the beginning, it doesn't completely fade away now, but it does lose a bit of speed. In general, the fragrance is now much denser, the notes are gradually moving closer together, sometimes into each other.

The "playing field" also begins to change, becoming quite waxy, almost like paraffin. A fairly smooth playing surface. Fragrance impressions come and go here, sometimes they just slip through, sometimes they linger. Sometimes it's earthy and woody, sometimes dusty and ambery - it's got a little vintage touch. Sometimes his buddy Musk waves mischievously from the corner.
But hey, luckily I've still got a good carob liqueur, we can pass the time with a bit of small talk, that's something! That stuff is sweet.

but I ask myself: "Why is there straw lying around here?" (I hope I don't get banned for this xD). Zack, boom, spicy coumarin in your face! and you're stuck to the floor and can't get away. It's freshly cleaned! But then: "DING", it rings from the corner! The rice is ready and rushes to help. So now you wade across the wax floor, surrounded by coumarin, to this rice stove as if it were the savior in person. Arrived, button pressed, open sesame, steam billows.
is actually kind of funny. Rice forms a certain counterpoint to the hay in the fragrance, adding powdery and slightly "starchy" notes and actually masks the coumarin somewhat and rounds off this whole wild mixture.

Where do we end up now? That's actually a good question. On the whole, I kind of like the fragrance, even if it gets a bit extremely dense towards the end, which is why I give it a 7 overall. Nevertheless, I have to say that there is definitely still enough room for improvement to make it to the top. I liked the Hindi better overall, it was a bit more rounded and, above all, calmer. All the building blocks don't (yet) fully mesh here.

let's see what happens....

then see you next time. Thanks for reading :)
