I like it better than its predecessor
Many thanks to Nick for the bottling of Chinese Oud II :-) I like the successor to Chinese Oud better, as the Chinese oud doesn't come across quite so blatantly and disturbingly here. The longevity of 8 to 10 hours is successful and the sillage doesn't have to hide here either.
The top note initially smells beautifully of orange sherbet with a hint of tart bergamot and lime. This is followed by a neat and animalistic cowshed aroma and a creaminess. The heart note has a floral scent of gardenia, tuberose, jasmine blossom and rose water. The Chinese oud is quite humane here. The base has a woody, creamy, balsamic and slightly earthy scent of sandalwood, amber, bourbon vanilla, patchouli and some oakmoss.
I am definitely happier here than with the Chinese Oud :-)
