I like it better than its predecessor
Many thanks to Nick for the bottling of Chinese Oud II :-) I like the successor to Chinese Oud better, as the Chinese oud doesn't come across quite so blatantly and disturbingly here. The longevity of 8 to 10 hours is successful and the sillage doesn't have to hide here either.

The top note initially smells beautifully of orange sherbet with a hint of tart bergamot and lime. This is followed by a neat and animalistic cowshed aroma and a creaminess. The heart note has a floral scent of gardenia, tuberose, jasmine blossom and rose water. The Chinese oud is quite humane here. The base has a woody, creamy, balsamic and slightly earthy scent of sandalwood, amber, bourbon vanilla, patchouli and some oakmoss.

I am definitely happier here than with the Chinese Oud :-)

A different feel, but just as satisfying
Personally, I can't say that I find this version of Chinese Oud that similar to the first. It does have the exact same structure, and it eventually evolves into an almost identical scent, however, the Oud used here feels completely different to my nose in terms of profile, quality, and especially texture. My skin also amplifies woody notes, and maybe that makes it pop even more, hence, making the differences more notable. In the first version, the oud's profile is smooth as silk, mostly coming across as a brown, suede leather accord, working along the other notes. In part 2, the oud is sour, smoky, very textured, like a bumpy wood surface, and much drier. To me, this profile is very apparent and it stays like that, quite noticeable for some good hours before it finally recedes and becomes something closer to the first version. I still love this version, as it provides a nice variation of the same theme, but if I were to choose between the two, I'd go for the first one.

Stag hides behind the lavender bush Calves play catch in the haystack the dark forest guards blissful flowers infested with soap moss
fabulous start strong, powerful, cozy and moo's. Dark woody, delicate soft leather fat balsamic and mild. Deer musk embraces patchouli cocoa lavender soothes.

I think vanilla is the perennial favorite here. Sandalwood is beautifully soft and sublime with hints of rice cinnamon and nutmeg.

Jasmine is buttery floral and thickly creamy Narcotic and wild, it blooms in the dark forest. Resins and green spice emerge.
Gardenia makes it cyprich like
dry straw it scratches very strongly.

Vintage soap and moss fresh and argues with the oud who has the say here. Fragrance fades quite quickly but remains nice and sweet on the skin and digs in. with me hardly citric, I don't have rose with me. what I got is Musk Lave without lemon but with eaglewood, here is a lot of musk inside and more relaxing
LilLavender for my nose

i can't decide I love
Musk Lave and the first version
is way better for me because I
also had a tropical climate and everything was
connected. Notes have helped each other out quite skillfully and hardly noticeable so wonderfully everything was networked there profound and 3D images incl. He here there everyone wants to show what he can shuffle each other back and forth everyone does what he can first I then Moo. I miss the team spirit and the 3rd dimension here, but that's actually nonsense. it's already fat.

Thank you Schoeibi for the testing opportunity
