Minty-fresh among the cypress trees. Slightly fruity-sweet from some flowers. A dark core of amber in blue.

Very nice. You feel Kam Kyoryo is similar to how I do.

I think it partly smells like the Blu from Agar Aura, which I really liked. This one would probably be my thing too.

Thank you for your detailed description. His scents often remind me of other releases from his house. His fragrances are always complex.

With some fragrances, you can find more of the raw materials from other scents, while others are much more unique. It's always exciting to see how the fragrances develop, and I’ve found most of them unique enough to appreciate on their own, as long as they don't belong to the same line and intentionally play on the similarities.

One of the brighter EO scents, although it has some shadowy aspects too. It has a somewhat blue character, but not consistently fresh blue, which I might have liked a bit more, though that doesn't really fit the fragrance description. The scent is quite variable at times, sometimes herbaceous-green, sometimes fruity-sweet, sometimes smoky, and sometimes a bit floral or resinous. In the middle part, the fragrance also takes on a more animalistic quality when amber and hyrax, especially hyrax, come to the forefront, but it doesn't become too animalistic or wild. The hyrax made me think of Mozambique, and the herbaceous base reminded me of Musc Gardenia, sometimes even Suriranka, although Suriranka is much cheerier and a bit brighter. These three EO scents come to mind for comparison in terms of direction, but it's just one element, and the fragrance is unique enough on its own.

Well, the next day I notice a bit more sweetness at the testing station, which is somewhat syrupy-something I personally don’t really need. But it actually makes sense since it was partly mentioned in the Oud description, and during the test, it wasn’t as prominent as it is today. However, I’m also picking up on a bit more chamomile now, which I actually like.

Musc Gardenia, because the opening is very aromatic and herbal, but otherwise Musc Gardenia is darker and less soft with the musk. Mozambique is only because of the amber-hyraceum impression that I recognized from it; otherwise, the scents are different enough.

Mhh, Musc Gardenia and Mozambique don't really appeal to me. I didn't like them much.
I'll wait for my sample. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised after all! 😄

Oud rather in the background?

I'm curious what justifies the higher price.

You can definitely notice the Oud, depending on how much of the minty, slightly smoky character comes through.
