Stranded with Fruit and Wood on Board

Hello dear community, today I would like to share my first review on Parfumo, so please be a bit lenient with my description :) Let's get started right away.

The Privee Collection has interested me for a while, and since there are often mixed reviews, I wanted to try testing the Ensar Oud Ottoman Ambergris. The price and availability alone entice me to smell these fragrances. Or maybe I've just fallen for the marketing. I'll touch on that later.

At first, really just in the first second, I get a slight cat litter association in my head. But I actually like this animalic aspect very much. Maybe it's just my taste or the experiences I've had in the high-end sector. Because this leads directly to one of my most important points. The FRAGRANCE DEVELOPMENT. Still in the first moment, the animalic note comes into play, which remains present for me, but shortly thereafter there’s an explosion of flowers and peach that couldn’t be better. Just as dear Centurio1990 describes. Nevertheless, the Ottoman Ambergris manages to be woody at the same time for me. That’s exactly what I like about the scent. It smells super beautiful, tropical, and exotic, as if one were stranded in Oman with a bunch of flowers, fruits, and wood. And these notes only get better with the ambergris. It’s as if they are woven together. In the end, there’s an incredible oud and vetiver to be smelled. Although I’m really not a fan of the latter. Truly a heavenly progression that I want more and more of.

Unfortunately, there’s still the price and availability.
No question about it. The scent is incredibly high-quality and versatile, but is it really worth $900 to me? That’s something everyone has to decide for themselves. For $300 less, it would probably already be on my shelf, solely because of the wonderful ingredients. You can definitely smell them.

For natural perfumes, the H/S is also quite impressive. Which is what you can only expect at that price. So, if anyone really wants to embark on a journey to the distant eastern world, I can only recommend Ottoman Ambergris.

Well described. The scent progression is really great here. I hardly get any animalic notes, though. I also noticed the peaches very clearly, and I would add some black currant to the mix. Not sure how it was for you.

Very nicely described with the beach in Oman and the fruits. I feel the same way about the image :)

Am I the only one who finds the sweetness similar to that in Purple Haze?
