Stranded with fruit and wood on board
Hello dear community, today I would like to give my first review on Parfumo, so be a little indulgent with my description:) So let's start right away.
I've been interested in the Privee Collection for a long time, and since I've often heard mixed reviews, I wanted to try the Ensar Oud Ottoman Ambergris. The price and availability alone are enough to tempt me to smell these fragrances. Or maybe I just fell for the market. But I'll come back to that later.
In the first moment, really only in the first second, a slight cat litter box association comes to my mind. But I really like this animalistic look. Maybe it's just my taste or the experiences I've had in the high-end sector. Because this leads directly to one of my most important points. The scent. Animalic comes into play in the first moment, which remains present for me, but shortly afterwards an explosion of flowers and peach that couldn't have been better. Just as dear Centurio1990 describes it. Nevertheless, Ottoman Ambergris manages to be woody for me at the same time. That's exactly what I like about the fragrance. It smells super tropical and exotic, as if you were stranded in Oman with a bunch of flowers, fruits and wood. And these notes only get better with the ambergris. As if they were being spun together. At the end, you can smell an incredible oud and vetiver. Although I'm not really a fan of the latter. Truly a heavenly progression that leaves me wanting more and more.
Unfortunately, there is still the price and availability.
No question about it. The fragrance is incredibly high-quality and versatile, but is it really worth $900 to me? That's probably something everyone has to decide for themselves. For 300$ less it would probably already be on my shelf, just because of the great ingredients. Because you can smell them.
For natural perfumes, the H/S is also pretty impressive. Which is only to be expected given the price. So if you really want to take a trip to the far eastern world, I can only recommend Ottoman Ambergris.
