In my mind, I am suddenly five years old, it's a beautiful summer day outside, and I happily stomp through my grandma's old house. This house is located in a small village of 800 souls. At that time, life here is the simplest of the simple: no running water, no one has the internet or electricity - we use kerosene lamps and the children play outside in front of the house all day long.

My grandma buys five kilograms each of strawberries and cherries at the market. In a huge pot, she sprinkles the fruit with a lot of fine sugar. In my case, it’s the strawberries that particularly captivate me. Every few minutes, I dash into the hallway to grab a sugared strawberry from the pot. After the strawberries are cooked in the sugar syrup, my grandma takes a fresh piece of bread, spreads it with homemade sour cream, and carefully adds the strawberry jam with whole strawberry pieces on top. I take a bite and feel nothing but carefree joy, security, and bliss. The world is just right.
Now, about the scent:
Upon spraying, you immediately get the peach. After a short while, I smell a delicious jam, but is it raspberry? I can’t tell. Throughout, you perceive the butter, caramel, and tonka bean. This gives the scent a special density. Nevertheless, Akatsuki Melba is not an extremely sweet fragrance. It lasts at least six hours, and you can continuously perceive it.
The packaging also surprised me greatly - it is high quality and feels good. Just like the bottle. It’s a pity that the brand Fomowa is not so well known here. This scent is definitely worth a try.
