Underrated

Yes, even though Jardin Boheme is essentially the "affordable" house brand of Douglas, I still find their fragrances to be quite underrated. Mandarine Fatale, for example, is simply a beautiful, citrus-sweet scent that quickly became my favorite summer fragrance. Here, you get perfumes for little money that can absolutely hold their own.

Summer Evening on the Amalfi Coast

I recently discovered the fragrance on Instagram and what can I say, I ordered it blind.

It actually smells quite different than I expected, but I am pleasantly surprised.

In my opinion, this is a summer scent that ranks very high on my list. When I think of a summer fragrance, I usually think of a fresh, very zesty scent. This one does not smell like that. Mandarine Fatale has that summery freshness, but at the same time, it also smells like vacation.

Sounds strange, I know, so let me try to describe it: Imagine you just returned from the beach on the Amalfi Coast to your apartment. Your skin smells of sunscreen, salt, sand, and sun. Then you stroll through a garden where mandarins and lemons grow. You pick one, two, three and head back to the apartment, where you get ready for a summer evening dinner, looking stylish. The sun is slowly setting and you make your way to a restaurant by the sea.

Warm, sunny, and with an incredibly natural mandarin note. Not overpowering, but for a summer fragrance, incredibly long-lasting.

The bottle and packaging are beautiful.

For the price, a top summer scent!
