Simply EDP is one of my favorite scents of all time. Really excited to see these “ touch of” bottles recently on fragnet. So scent-wise yes it is all the leather from
the original and nothing but. Ignore the listed notes. There is no nutmeg. No mandarin. Just the leather. Which would be amazing BUT my skin ate it right up. it’s only been a couple hours and I can barely smell it at all. I am so glad I never bought a bottle for the exorbitant asking prices from eBay. It’s worth the $20 I paid for it but man I wish it performed as well as the original! Even half as well, but nope not even half :(

Catwoman forever

Since my birthday falls during Carnival, there were often costume parties.

Monks, nuns, Indians, cowboys, Emma Peel and John Steed - everything swirled together.
And I was the sexy Catwoman in between.

Unfortunately, not in a skin-tight leather suit but in my black gym outfit, with which I trembled over the hated balance beam in school.

But on the dance floor, I made a more graceful figure in that outfit, as the fall height wasn't so great.

In any case, I would have loved to wear real leather back then - to enhance my teenage naughtiness.
A few spritzes of Simply Leather would have been enough to transform me into the proper comic heroine.

The leather note is uncompromisingly prominent here - and only the violet can modestly peek through.

Unless you're out and about as Catwoman over the rooftops of New York, this might be a bit too much of a good leather for me - too one-dimensional.
Layering is definitely appropriate here.

I sprayed it with the fresh floral Eau des Jardins by Clarins - and the impression became more pleasant and layered.
The flowers lighten the black leather and give it transparency.
The feeling of a heavy motorcycle outfit gives way - making room for a soft leather skirt paired with a white blouse.

Catwoman in city chic.

I will layer Simply with other fragrances and am excited about the respective outfit of my comic heroine.
