Cool, bitter, synthetic (plus better "wildflower honey" alternatives)

Based on reviews, I expected this to be warm, sweet honey with realistic wildflower floral notes - but this instead came across to me like very synthetic "cool"/cold white florals (entering "white floral hairspray" territory), with barely any honey/warmth/sweetness coming through.

I love honeycomb, honey, freesia, rose, honeysuckle, coconut, vanilla... but I didn't really get much of any of those notes. It was just overwhelmingly two parts for me:
90% synthetic white floral "hairspray"
10% faint honey

The honey was too much of a background player - and the white florals were just so sharp and synthetic (almost to the point of becoming bitter), that I personally couldn't enjoy it.

It was similar to the white floral blend used in Opal Energy , in case you've tried that one and like/dislike it.

Alternative wildflower honey fragrances that I feel are much more beautiful, realistic, sweet, and "nectar-like":
"Honey | Demeter Fragrance Library / The Library Of Fragrance"
Miele

Note: my bottle came in an all-gold box (no image of Kim Kardashian), so it appears this might be a newer formulation - or different from previous versions that others reviewed before. (Thanks to Oriane for pointing that out!)

No, I have never tried either of those. For honey lovers, I recommend the MFK Absolue and Elie Saab Le Parfum Intense. Both are honey to the max. The MFK is more "dirty" than the Saab, though.

@Oriane MFK sounds intriguing, with the added warmth of cumin and frankincense. I haven't tried Elie Saab's Le Parfum Intense either but it sounds lovely, so I've now added both of these to my "test" list - I always want the maximum honey, so I appreciate your suggestions!

I was not very impressed with this one either. My bottle is several years old, so what you may be smelling is worse than an older bottle, pre reformulation.
If you really, really want Honey, try Maison Francis Kurkjidian Absolue Pour le Soir.

@Oriane I am sure you are right, that the re-formulated/newer bottles are more synthetic than the original version - as this was a newer, sealed bottle from an authorized store/retailer (so it was properly stored, at least). I haven't yet tried MFK's Absolue Pour le Soir, thank you so much for the recommendation as I really love honey notes! 💛 Have you ever tried Demeter's Honey, or Miele by Kyse? I know they are more on the "cheapie" side of things, but I was surprised by how beautiful and realistic each of them are!
