Very helpful Review
My fruity-floral summer darling
In fact, I finally dare to write my first fragrance review today. As luck would have it, this is probably also the first review of this scent. So, be nice to me.
For me, the fragrance fits perfectly into spring and summer. It starts off quite fresh, especially at the beginning, but then drifts into a slightly sour and bitter direction, which, however, never becomes too sour or too bitter. The scent also has relatively sweet nuances that remain until the end.
The flower that I immediately associate with this fragrance is hibiscus, and hibiscus is probably the "main actor" in this scent. The concept of the perfume is relatively monothematic and minimalist, but the hibiscus is additionally adorned with other fruits.
As indicated in the fragrance notes, I don鈥檛 really smell the grapefruit that strongly. Rather, at the beginning, I detect a rhubarb-grapefruit mix with a stronger focus on the rhubarb.
Whoever among the mentioned perfumers worked more on the perfume is up for debate, but I dare to say that Jean-Claude Ellena has perfected the top notes, especially the citrus and fruity ones; at least I find the top notes wonderfully successful.
After a while, the hibiscus scent becomes stronger and stronger and blends quite nicely with the mentioned fruits.
The woody note, which is indicated as the base note, is actually quite noticeable throughout. This woody note seems relatively familiar and rather generic to me. However, it gives the fragrance that final kick.
The longevity on my skin is relatively good. Surprisingly, the scent lasted until the next morning on me, but I must add that fragrances tend to hold well on my skin.
Of course, the fragrance is unisex and does not exclude any age group.
If someone is looking for something more unusual than the usual citrus scents in summer, they could be happy with this one.
And now I must say, I can hardly believe it, because I actually wrote my first review. It wasn't so bad after all. I鈥檒l just spray on some Aqua Amantia to celebrate :-D
