Peace Far from Civilization
Somewhere between the forests of Canada and the temples of Bali lies this one spa hotel. Built from cedar wood, it is dedicated to modern relaxation. Unpretentious. Meditative. Here I can finally breathe.
Bo fits perfectly with the brand. All the fragrances from Liis that I have had the pleasure of testing share their modern inspiration, their use of synthetic materials, the character of a refined skin scent, and their successful conveyance of emotions.
Bo is inspired by a Californian artist enclave on the coast. Without the influence of evil civilization. Pure nature.
The scent is almost entirely linear. Creamy woodiness defines the entire scent journey. Cedar and guaiac. Herbal. Resins and tobacco. Warm.
In the subtle sillage, the delicate soft smoke is the star. I think of a dry sauna. Of calm breathing. Of closed eyes. Of deep relaxation. Completely without ethereal vibes. Far from civilization.
In the drydown, the vanilla becomes a bit more pronounced. Like an additional softener, the scent becomes even rounder. Compared to other fragrances in the line, the synthetic elements are very restrained and the longevity is very good.
The bottle perfectly reflects the brand. Modern. Clear. High-quality. Pure tranquility.
Anyone looking for a subtly smoky skin scent, where woodiness is the focus, will be happy with Bo.

Nice comment. I've only tested it on paper so far. I think it needs skin to really shine...

Yes, I see it that way too. For me, it leans more towards the sweet incense, while for my girlfriend, it goes straight to the vanilla at the start. So it seems to depend on the person.

Hi, I got a sample of this fragrance today and I completely agree with your review... we have a lot of cedar wood in our garden, and when it's cut, I used to sniff it... also the tranquility in the woody, smoky sauna... the subtle vanilla. I’m not usually a fan of vanilla, but it blends so delicately with the cedar! It's exactly my scent... it will be my favorite for fall and winter.

Oh, that sounds great! I'm glad you enjoyed reading it. Funny coincidence: I'm wearing Bo today. But it's only 14 degrees here - so basically winter :)
