When I first pressed the fragrance sample of Liquide, I was immediately enchanted. The first moments made me think of a summer evening in Greece - that special moment when you stroll through narrow streets with friends to dine in a cozy restaurant by the sea; and this magic remains throughout the entire development of the perfume.
The opening is a true sensation: The mandarin peel presents itself elegantly with the warming saffron, and this combination is enveloped by an incredibly creamy texture, as if its ingredients complement each other perfectly. The heart notes develop into a breathtaking floral symphony. Orange blossom & jasmine come through quietly, yet remarkably. The subtle nuance of coriander seeds, on the other hand, adds a facet that keeps the fragrance exciting.
The base eventually transforms into an opulent creaminess, supported by Ambrofix, Georgywood, and patchouli. Vanilla, white musk, and labdanum complete the composition and ensure that the scent lingers in memory long after wearing it. Unfortunately, the dry down becomes a bit overwhelming for me after a few hours, as without the fruity-floral notes, the synthetic woods feel a bit odd on my skin.
Nonetheless, this is a stunning fragrance. Particularly impressive are the longevity and sillage of this perfume, which are exceptionally good and allow the scent to remain present throughout the day without ever becoming overpowering. The balance between natural and synthetic elements is perfectly struck, making "Liquide" a true masterpiece!!
