Bouillon cube vibe! Peppery fir green. Everything stuffed in that had to go. Flowers drowning. Lots of animal. Too much oud. Chypre? For me at ..

Oh dear, that doesn't sound nice at all. I'd rather stay away from it, both with my hands and my nose.

THIS is not a Chypre! For me, Oud has no place in a Chypre.

I haven't smelled a single fragrance by Mathew Schmuelian yet. He seems to be an interesting perfumer.

Today, it seems that Chypre is once again a buzzword in the artisan niche. For me, they aren't either.

You said it, my friend! They should just give that stuff a different name and be done with it.

Sometimes soup seasoning works well for me, it would depend on the chimera...

I don't like bouillon cubes as they are. And now as a perfume? For scaring away cats?

Oh well, if you have to stretch a bit of sauce, broth cubes work, haha. But I don't want to smell like that.

... Topic over. Just my personal opinion, but I don't think oud belongs in a chypre. Lavender could save it, but it's completely overshadowed. Some parts of the top note would have fit better in the heart note. It could be a lovely animalic chypre, but I feel like the theme was missed.
