Pera MAD Parfumeur

Pera from MAD Parfumeur is a predominantly sweet fragrance with an oriental touch. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it is still beautiful and pleasing. If you don’t like sweet scents, you are completely in the wrong place here, as Pera is quite sweet.

The fragrance starts off directly with this pleasing, yet strong sweetness.
In my opinion, it comes across as somewhat synthetic, but that is not a problem in this case.
The sweetness hints at a tonka bean, although it is not listed.
I read in a review that one might also suspect a date, and yes, I would agree with that.

You can also generally feel the sandalwood-amber blend listed in the base. This gives the fragrance a very creamy quality, and we also have this fruity sweetness from the apple.

The fragrance develops relatively quickly into a spicy, warm scent.
There’s a bit of pepper, but primarily the saffron is the active spicy component. However, we definitely do not have a Baccarat Rouge saffron here, so no worries.

All in all, a quite beautiful fragrance and the third one from MAD Parfumeur that I have been able to test so far.
I have enjoyed all three quite a bit.
