Sweet-fruity cherry with almond depth - strong for the price
Maison Alhambra Forbidden Love impresses me mainly with its very successful combination of cherry fruitiness and a slightly bitter, almond note. This interplay works surprisingly harmoniously and gives the fragrance a creamy-sweet, yet slightly mature depth.
The scent clearly reminds me of a well-known Tom Ford representative and captures its DNA quite well in my opinion - especially when considering the significantly lower price. The sweet cherry is prominent but is beautifully balanced by the bitter almond, so nothing feels too sticky or one-dimensional.
The only noticeable drawback is the rather low longevity, which requires a bit of touch-up in everyday life or a re-spraying.
Overall, a convincing clone with a very good price-performance ratio that captures the essence of the original well.
