As an absolute fan of lactonic, creamy fragrances, I could hardly wait for this scent to finally be available for purchase after the first teasers on social media!
Milky Way starts warm, spicy, milky, and has a great projection. Over time, this, as well as the sillage, recedes a bit. In my experience, lactonic scents simply need the warmth of the skin. So I dive into a fragrant milk bath with plum, cashmere, tonka bean, and sandalwood. For me, the scent does not develop, which I find absolutely fine in this case due to the already strong start. Thus, the notes listed in the DD are already nicely perceivable from the beginning. Caramel and vanilla are rather less prominent for me, so if you are primarily hoping for these fragrance notes, I recommend other classics in this direction instead.
For me, it is definitely a strong and affordable alternative to Commodity Milk (and Milk+) and for lovers of this fragrance direction, it is certainly a blind buy candidate. After nearly 15 new acquisitions this year, Milky Way ranks among my top 3. I love it!
