Sun, salt and deserted weekend
Very unusual. At first I didn't like its sweet creaminess (cosmetic, not pastry) and dryness. Then I gave it a few more tries and understood it.
The promotional poster really captures the direction well, it's summer somewhere on a salt estuary, sandy slopes with sparse vegetation, completely deserted and a young couple sunbathing naked, no one and nothing to be embarrassed about - just summer, heat, nature and them.
This is how she or he can smell (yes, on the 18-year-old son it is also good) - young, hot from the sun, salty from the water and a little sweet from the cream body).
Sounds to me like an intimate and sensual, bodacious fragrance.

Sweet-herb-salty summer beach mimosa scent (it has really little to do with the 90s SUN)
I was curious about Sun Sea Salt & Gennista and got myself a 10 ml sample. I tested it for the first time about half a year ago in cold weather and was really not impressed. Today, 6 months later, I definitely find it better. At the moment, it actually seems a bit too synthetic to me. Let's see if it can stay.

The Sun Sea Salt & Genista starts aquatic, synthetic, herb-salty. Then a soft-floral-herb sweet note (mimosa) comes in, and it becomes more balanced. The mimosa (and possibly later also broom?) makes it somehow interesting.

Towards the end, I experience a slightly aquatic, sweet-herb-salty, and over time slightly creamy mix. I haven't smelled anything like this before, and the longer it stays on my skin, the more I like it. After about 5 hours, the synthetic aspect is gone, and it reminds me of that wonderful skin scent when you've been at the beach in the sun.

It could easily pass as unisex if you like this light, floral sweetness. The longevity is not particularly impressive, maybe around 4-6 hours? Depending on how heavily you spray it on?

However, it has nothing to do with the original Sun Eau de Toilette from the 90s (yes, I still own one!), or later versions.

Conclusion: you can (as an absolute Sun fan), but you don't have to.

Unfortunately, I think broom is commonly used in toilet air fresheners so the connection my mind is making when I smell this is "poop" :(

It can't deny its aquatic nature
Swimming rings on salty water
Sun dries out the skin.
Everyone is shouting Neroli.

Smells like the bath salts in glass bottles my grandma used to have in the bathroom. Soapy with a bit of old-fashioned floral scent...

Laundry-fresh creamy-sweet flowers with a salty-aquatic undertone. I completely miss the quirky-strong broom scent here.

A scent that's too sweet and floral for me, with a cheap synthetic fabric softener vibe, plus annoying aquatic notes. I prefer Lenor. ‍️

Great, creamy all-rounder for really warm weather.
Zesty, fresh & unsweet.
H+S could be better. Nice!

Whoever has Sun Eau de Parfum doesn't need this one too. After Beach Walk Sun, now Beach Walk light Sun Summer. Nice, but not new.

Here, the sun shines from the bottle. Faded sea and sunscreen, fresh mimosa in the foreground. Uncomplicated.

I’m at odds with JS Sun, but this one isn’t bad. It reminds me of a drink with Malibu, enjoyed on a warm summer evening.

Remnants of sea salt + sunscreen on the skin, cycling home along fields of rapeseed. Mimosa & I will no longer be friends.
