The magic of the forest in the far north
Do you know that, daydreams? I felt the scent
on my wrist, and there it was, magic! I suddenly found myself in a
deep jungle, framed by strong, thick trunks reaching into the sky.
Firs and spruces defied the cold in their evergreen cover. Through the
dense crowns it might be dark, but the sun was at its zenith and
shone through the canopy of green almonds down to the high snow. Snow
is never white, even now it shimmered golden and emerald green. I stood there as if
enchanted and would probably have frozen to death if she hadn't come. She was
really beautiful and I recognized her immediately, Tallemaja. Was she human, was
was she animal? Her female body was covered in tree bark and she proudly carried
a fox-red tail. But I hardly noticed any of this. Her eyes
developed a suction like the water you see from a bridge.
She turned and walked away and I followed her. I could have followed her to the end of the
End of the world. So we walked for I don't know how long. It began to
finally dawned, the color of the snow lost its gold, the green of the trees
darkened
and the air took on a different character. The scent of needles receded
