Alien Eau Extraordinaire Mugler 2014

I really don't understand how there are so many rather negative comments here. For me, Alien Eau Extraordinaire was THE discovery!

My personal Alien story began about ten years ago when I received a sample of the original. I had never been so thrilled by a perfume! After having it for a few years and loving it, I still parted ways with it: it had become too mainstream for me, so many women were smelling - stinking - too strongly of it.

When I started to think about getting it again, I held back from buying it because it is the signature scent of a good friend of mine. I thought my love story with Alien was over.

But then I received the Extraordinaire as a gift.

Boom! I was in love again just like back then. It’s a different Alien, but it’s still Alien.
It has the same magic for me, that something I can never describe, this elegant and metallic-radiant note. Additionally, there are lemony bergamot notes (heehee) - I love Earl Grey!

With it, I don’t have to worry about bothering someone with my scent cloud. That has been a real downside for me with the classic Alien, as even a spritz was a statement for the whole day (and the next, and the one after that....) Nevertheless, it lasts quite well (especially in the hair) and I notice it throughout the day. Sure, a perfume that I love should last 24 hours, but without that amazing sillage, you probably won't get that kind of longevity. Maybe try combining it with the body lotion?

I also think it’s great that the bottle (unlike the regular EDT) is refillable. Plus, it’s also the cheapest Alien.
