Alien's Daughter
A very successful dupe of Thierry Mugler's 'Alien'.
First impression: Seen at SPAR in Austria in the cosmetics aisle. A large purple-gold package with PREDATOR in the well-known Alien font on the front.
It is unmistakable that this fragrance is meant to be a dupe of Alien.
This fragrance is supposed to cost only €6.50 for 100ml? What is there to think about - straight into the shopping cart with it.
The top note: Alien pure. Sweet - floral - powdery with a hint of spiciness.
Here I can clearly smell the lily of the valley.
Predator quickly transitions into the heart note and reveals woody beauties like sandalwood and palo santo.
The fragrance still retains a light powdery sweetness and becomes very woody and heavy in the base. Where the original hints at patchouli, I believe I can smell a fine note of incense here.
A very feminine, mature fragrance with recognizability.
I can hardly smell any difference from the original Alien.
Predator is a super affordable alternative, absolutely recommended!
The only major differences I notice are in longevity and sillage.
I have to reapply after about 4 hours and the sillage is rather close to the body.
But at this price, that is definitely acceptable.
Predator also earns a big plus point for the bottle. The 100ml version is elongated triangular with golden details. The bottle is in a deep purple tone and it is clear how much content is still inside. It feels good in the hand - sprays cleanly - perfect.
Conclusion: Absolutely recommendable Alien dupe if you can handle having to reapply every 3-4 hours.
