Roses are red and .... I smell bad
I only have this fragrance as a sample, otherwise I would be extremely annoyed. However, I wouldn't buy a perfume with so much rose blind, as rose unfortunately always develops a slight note of baby vomit on me.
I would like to disagree with the description of it being synthetic-powdery. The scent does not smell powdery, but rather, after the rose intensity has faded, it becomes more woody and a bit sticky. I also do not perceive the longevity and sillage as above average, but at most average, which is an advantage for me with this fragrance. Right at the very end, just before the threshold of detectability, it smells slightly gourmand and soft. But you can only smell that if you practically inhale the sprayed skin area.
At the beginning, I do not find it fresh either, as promised by the lemon or bergamot, because even then the rose overshadows everything. Unfortunately, it is not a refined rose, but rather a "I-will-break-your-nose-rose," which, if necessary, calls for the help of patchouli. I have no idea where the coffee scent comes from, but that can't save the perfume either, even though I really like coffee. I also suspect that benzoin and patchouli are what ultimately annoy me here, as the scent bothers me very quickly. Something is just not right here.
Yes, the similarity to Intense Café by Montale is absolutely given; I sprayed both and am amazed at how alike they smell, but they are differently annoying and differently refined. I would prefer the one by Montale, which has a significantly longer longevity. Additionally, it is even a bit cheaper to acquire than Rouge Privé. The price-performance ratio is simply not right here.
