Great Everyday Scent
I have been a fan of Marcelo, the Niche Perfume Collector, for quite some time. His way of presenting a fragrance is very authentic, filled with lots of information and interesting side stories, and simply likable. When he introduced his and Kevin's new brand, I was very intrigued but didn't want to order right away, as I usually don't buy blind. However, since the scent of my favorite city caught my attention (Florence) and I received the travel set for free (which I find extremely well done, by the way), I had to go for it.
I am currently trying to train my nose and make a game out of guessing individual fragrance notes before I read the listed notes. When I first sprayed Dolce Milano, I immediately thought of orange. I knew that this fragrance was supposed to be a gourmand scent, which I didn't perceive at first. For me, the opening is rather a fresh, pleasant orange, which then retreats after about half an hour and transitions into a citrusy bergamot. A little later, the scent becomes somewhat woody for me, with a slight sweetness, but definitely not the kind of gourmand I was expecting.
In conclusion, I can say that this scent is, in my opinion, very suitable for the office, as it stays relatively close to the body, is not too overpowering, and appeals to a wide audience - a crowd pleaser for everyday wear, so to speak, that still has enough depth and doesn't become boring.
Later, it becomes boozy from the rum, sweet, but not in a cloying way, due to the dried fruits. I don't perceive vanilla and almond, but they probably complement the scent and round it off.
