Cherries in the forest (or is it?)
This is meant to evoke crushing ripe cherries underfoot while walking through a dense forest. While I’m not sure it fully delivers on that concept (where is the wood here?), it’s definitely an unusual but very wearable scent.
The fragrance is primarily a lightly earthy, slightly herbal greenness with an undertone of amber and musk. I was a bit wary of the cherry note, but it just gives a light underlying fruitiness (not cloyingly sweet or cough syrupy).
Projection is light to moderate, and so is longevity (around 6-7 hours on me). Cherry notes are often coded feminine, but this is completely unisex.
As a side note, this is the third Örök fragrance I’ve tried, and while only one has gone on my wish list ( Shoreline ), all three have been interesting, thoughtful compositions.
