Mist and musk
For about 20 minutes after the first spray, I thought I'd made a terrible mistake, as something in the formulation was slightly sour and sharp on my skin.
But after a while this acridity faded, and the scent settled into a fresh, earthy, pale musk touched by ozonic sweetness (a series of words that I never thought I'd put together, but here we are). By the time it faded 6-ish hours later, I was solidly converted from my first impression.
This isn't necessarily a photorealistic scent, but it has a very natural outdoorsy feel; the best visual I can come up with is standing inside the mouth of a clean cave early in the morning, with a light breeze carrying in whiffs of misty foliage.
It sits quite close to the skin and is completely androgynous. Any florals are at best a hint, so if you're looking for a petrichor + flowers fragrance, look elsewhere (I suggest the incredible Saskia ).
