Oudian pernoire 2025

Strolling in Cologne. I am approached by a young guy who holds a tester strip under my nose. Nice scent. I go inside with him and he sprays some on my wrist. I continue to stroll and keep getting little whiffs of it. Lovely! Fruity, soft oud. My girlfriend says I smell good. Hours later still nice, rounded, soft, soothing, but very present. Sillage is very good, projection is excellent for hours, longevity: days. Two extreme fragrance notes come together here: oud and durian. Durian is the fruit of my homeland and I must admit, I hated the smell, the texture, and the taste! My relatives always bought it from the market every day and snacked on it while the house was filled with that scent. Therefore, I was all the more surprised with Oudian that it captured the essence of the fruit without the gag-inducing component. To me, it smells like a toned-down durian fruit that harmonizes beautifully with the oud. The leather and saffron elegantly connect the two components, and the frankincense adds depth with the labdanum. I am lucky to have received a decant and tried it out for a longer period. Addictive! However, the price is quite steep. But it definitely belongs in my collection someday.
