Heidelberg's Finest

As an ode to the beautiful Heidelberg and as a start to a personal brand journey by Phil - I’m excited to add my two cents. Especially when a perfume is as powerful and competent as "Fovere" - particularly if you enjoy a wickedly wearable (!) amber...

"Fovere" is an amber-infused all-rounder par excellence. If it truly represents Heidelberg, then it can only be called a genuinely positive advertisement for the city. Slightly smoky rum prevents the top note from being bland and interchangeable. But what follows steals the show even from the most seasoned rum... Wow! When "Fovere" showcases its creamy-vanilla muscles in the course and especially in the dry down - as refined as it is unique! - one can hardly escape love at first sniff. This is how a perfume debut should smell! I'm not even a huge amber fan anymore - those who are will score an extra point! - but I find this absolutely sensational. It’s warm, it’s cozy, it’s comforting and lulling - thankfully, it doesn’t come across as just an outdoor or winter scent. Woody and delightful. One would gladly let go here, feeling safe and secure. Sunbeams shimmer through the autumn forest. Whether it’s the sharpness of ginger or the grains of tobacco, there’s always something present to keep everything far, far away from being drab and generic. It never gets boring here - yet it remains consistently reliable. One can only congratulate and thank.

Bottle: simple but valuable (at least in the pictures!)
Sillage: totally potent but never overwhelming
Longevity: a real beast - 12 hours and much, much more!

Conclusion: spicy and comforting character amber with a dreamy dry down, enormous longevity, and rum... one cannot start stronger and of higher quality as a niche brand!
